Summer school participants defended their thematic projects
Today is the last day of the VII International Summer School for Young Archivists, which began with the defense of projects submitted for collective discussion. Projects were presented on the following topics: Mechanisms for effective interaction between state archives and organizations sources of acquisition, modern forms and methods of working with fund founders - individuals (personal funds), acquisition of archives with digital-born records (proposals for improving regulatory legal acts). Participants divided into groups and presented their work on topics they had researched together.
Leading experts in the field of archival science gave their assessment of the work of the summer school participants: Professor of the Department of Automated Documentation Management Systems of the Institute of History and Archives of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Natalia Surovtseva, Head of the Territorial Department for Archival Affairs of the Navoi Region of the “Uzarkhiv” Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sayyora Bekova, as well as Associate Professor of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, candidate of historical sciences Bakyt Nurpeisova, who noted that modern specialists in the field of archival affairs should be versatile specialists, well versed in both document management and information systems, which are becoming an integral part of archival activities.
