On April 25, 2024, Director of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Mustafina held a meeting with the delegation from the Republic of Türkiye. The Director of the State Archives Directorate of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Professor Uğur Ünal and the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty Evren Müderrisoğlu visited the archive. The main topic of discussion was the activation of bilateral cooperation between the Archive of the President and archival institutions of Türkiye, joint implementation of possible projects in the near future. Kazakh archivists were invited to participate in advanced training courses and in exchange of experience of restoration specialists.

In turn, Turkish colleagues were invited to take part in the Summer School of young archivists, in the upcoming II Congress of Archivists of Kazakhstan on the topic “Heritage Institutions on the Way to Sustainable Development of Society” and to publish their scientific articles in the journal “Zhana Archive”. A tour was held for the Turkish delegation, during which guests were presented with a historical and documentary exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of K. Satpayev. In addition, colleagues got acquainted with the work of the Reading Room, the processes of digitization and restoration of archival documents.
