On May 21, 2024, a meeting was held at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University on the topic “Victims of political repression and famine - in the memory of the people." Experts conducting research on the topic, as well as students and schoolchildren attended the meeting. As part of the event, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an exhibition dedicated to the life of Saken Seifullin, one of the founders of Kazakh literature, poet, writer, playwright, statesman, who later also became victim of repression. The exhibition, “Archival Documents of Saken Seifullin” presented archival documents from the funds of the Archive of the President.

Seifullin's certificate of graduation from the Omsk Teachers' Seminary, characterization reference given to the writer, a letter from the Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Kazakh SSR S. Seifullin about conducting workflow in the Kazakh language, the order of the state security authorities on the arrest of S. Seifullin, his indictment, execution sentence, as well as others documents and photographs. During the meeting, the head of the Center for the Study of Materials of Political Repression of the 20th Century G. Nurymbetova made a report “New opportunities in studying the issues of political repression.” The event was dedicated to the memorable date of May 31 - Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Political Repression and Famine.
