The Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to display a historical and documentary exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Academician K. Satpayev. On April 18, students from Almaty school-lyceum No. 48 got acquainted with archival materials. A review of the exhibition was conducted by the head of the Archive’s Service for the organization of the use of documents, B. Kasenov. Through archival documents, pupils learned about the life and work of the great Kazakh scientist Kanysh Satpayev. Rare photographs, scientific materials, official, scientific and personal correspondence of the scientist became the basis for an on-site school history lesson.

The lesson turned out to be interesting and instructive. Bolegen Kasenov spoke about historical facts and what other interesting items are stored in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also invited schoolchildren to take part in the competition of educational and research works “The History of My Family in Archival Documents”, which is held annually by the Archive of the President. This is a project for students of secondary schools in Almaty.
