On August 26, 2024, a delegation led by the Director of the Archive of the President A. Mustafina arrived in Istanbul with a working visit. This work trip was organized with the aim of improving the qualifications of our colleagues and teaching them new skills in working with modern equipment during the restoration of documents. The delegation members met with Mr. Cevat Ikici, the head of the Ottoman Archives in Istanbul. During the meeting, both sides exchanged information on the work of archival institutions and the documents they are safekeeping.

The organization of joint projects with Turkish colleagues was also discussed at the meeting. During the tour through the Archives, the Kazakh delegation got acquainted with the archival database, restoration, digitization of documents, visited the reading room and the storage facility. In addition, the representative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul A. Yeshankulov, who was present at the meeting, proposed organizing a joint historical and documentary exhibition dedicated to the history of diplomatic relations between the two states.
