On August 20, Deputy Director of the National Library and Archive of Iran, Reza Shahrabi, paid a working visit to the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana. During the meeting with Alia Mustafina, Director of the Archive, the parties discussed issues of professional development for young specialists, exchange of experience, and the development of scientific partnership.

After becoming acquainted with the activities of the Archive, the Iranian delegation presented educational projects for young archivists currently being implemented in the country and raised the issue of signing a memorandum of cooperation.

Special attention was given to the exchange of historical documents. The Iranian side expressed its readiness to provide Kazakhstan with materials related to its history, as well as its interest in obtaining documents concerning the history of Iran.

It should be noted that the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an active participant in the global archival community: it regularly takes part in international congresses and seminars and also hosts events aimed at promoting professional cooperation, enhancing the skills of young archivists, and facilitating the exchange of experience.
