On the eve of the 125th anniversary of the first Kazakh academician, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, who stood at its origins, the founder of the school of metallogeny in Kazakhstan Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan prepared an exhibition dedicated to the life path of the scientist, based on rare documents from the archival fund. On April 3, 2024, the head of the Service for the organization of the use of documents of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasenov Bolegen Abikeevich presented the exhibition at the Republican «House of Friendship». Exhibition was presented within the framework of the international scientific and theoretical conference called: “The Phenomenon of Academician K. Satpayev in national science of the XX century: modern approaches and problems of interdisciplinary research,” which was organized jointly by the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Walikhanov and the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce conference participants to interesting, unfamiliar aspects of the biography of the outstanding scientist, demonstrating unique archival documents from the funds of the Presidential Archive. The exhibition space in the «House of Friendship» was decorated with archival photographs of K. Satpayev made at different stages of his life, showing him with his family, friends and colleagues, pages of the autobiography of the geoscientist, as well as rare documents related to his professional activities. The exhibition presents for the first time letters from Taisiya Alekseevna Satpayeva addressed to her husband. The exhibition is based on documents from the personal collection of K. Satpayev, stored in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
