The Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to expand its international relations. On August 18, the institution was visited by Saif Abdullah Hamoud Al-Jabri, Chair of the Middle East and North Africa Regional Division of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and Director of the Information Center (Library) of the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University, acompanied by his colleague Khalel Mohamed Emam Ahmed Elhalaby, Associate Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science at Cairo University (Egypt) and Chief Librarian at the Police College in Doha, Qatar.

The guests were welcomed by Aliya Mustafina, Director of the Archive of the President, who introduced them to the work of the laboratory, the reading room, and the exhibition hall. During the visit, the parties discussed the development of knowledge exchange, professional cooperation, and further collaboration.

Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the International Congress of Archivists, which the Archive of the President will host in Astana in 2026.

It should be recalled that earlier, the Archive of the President welcomed the President of the International Council on Archives (ICA), Josée Kirps, as well as His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the National Library and Archives of the United Arab Emirates.

The Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an active participant in the global archival community: it regularly takes part in international congresses and seminars and also hosts events that promote professional cooperation, the enhancement of young archivists’ qualifications, and the exchange of experience.
