The IV Meeting of the National Kurultai took place in Burabay

Today, on March 14, the IV meeting of the National Kurultai (Congress) - a significant public platform for dialogue between the government and society - begun in Burabay. The forum was attended by the Head of State, as well as members of the Kurultai, including the Director of the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aliya Mustafina.

The National Kurultai annually brings together representatives of the government, the expert community, and the civil sector to discuss key issues of the country's development. This year's meeting focused on initiatives aimed at strengthening national identity, social justice, economic development, and improving the quality of life for Kazakhstanis. A notable event for the Archive of the President was the participation of its director, Aliya Mustafina, in the National Kurultai for the first time as a member.

Opening the Kurultai, the Head of State raised several key issues, including tax reform, social policy, healthcare, and education. He emphasized the need to enhance the transparency of the tax system, optimize budget expenditures, and improve targeted social support.

The President paid special attention to the digitization of archives, which will improve access to historical documents and enhance the efficiency of their preservation.
"The government has already begun working on digitizing our vast amounts of information: archives and reference data, scientific research, photographs and illustrations, musical compositions, and works of art. A national digital archive will be created, which will be accessible to domestic and foreign AI developers," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

To date, the Archives of the President of Kazakhstan has digitized more than 230,000 files, totaling 28 million pages.

  • The next National Kurultai meeting will be held in Kyzylorda.
  • A Nuclear Energy Agency under the President will be established.
  • Rehabilitation centers for children with special needs will be opened in every regional center.
  • The airport in Arkalyk will be restored, and a new terminal complex will be built.
  • A new highway will be constructed from Astana through Arkalyk, Turgay, and Irgiz.
  • More than 1,300 schools will be modernized, and new hospitals and medical centers will be built.

The President emphasized that Kazakhstan will continue its course toward technological development, business support, and strengthening social policy.

It is worth noting that previous Kurultai meetings were held in Ulytau, Turkistan, and Atyrau, where important decisions were made, including the restoration of three border districts and the reinstatement of Republic Day as a national holiday.
