Lectures by foreign and domestic scientists are held for participants. A report on the topic “Problems of acquiring archives with digital documents” was made by the head of the Department of Automated Documentation Management Systems of the Historical and Archival Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Larin. In his report, the professor shared the experience of foreign countries in organizing the storage of digital records. In the United States, since 2023, government agencies are required to submit all types of documents to the national archives in digital format, and in Germany, digital documents were given legal power. In Russia, the Electronic Document Storage Center (EDS) platform has been launched in experimental mode. According to the speaker, a new archive building will be built, where repository will be equipped not only for storage of paper, but also digital documents. Associate Professor of Al-Farabi KazNU, candidate of historical sciences, Zhakupova Gulnazia, gave a lecture on the topic “Theoretical foundations for the development of methodological support for archival affairs.” The lecture was devoted to scientific approaches and principles of methodological activities in archival affairs.

The speaker expressed the opinion that the last stage of methodological work, which will allow using the results of scientific research in practical activities, is the creation of developments. In addition, according to today’s program, presentations will be made by: Professor of the Department of Automated Documentation Management Systems of the Historical and Archival Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities Natalia Surovtseva (The Importance of Classification and Classifiers in Document Management), Head of the Department for Information Analytics and Work with Appeals of the “Uzarchiv” Agency under the Ministry Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirzaev Laziz (The role of state control in the formation of archival documents included in the National Archival Fund of Acquisition Source Organizations and their transfer to state archives) and Head of the Territorial Department for Archival Affairs of the Navoi Region of the “Uzarkhiv” Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bekova Sayyora (Accounting for documents when compiling archives in the conditions of digital transformation).
