On January 17 during an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev held talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The leaders of the two countries discussed the development of the Kazakh-Emirati strategic partnership, economic and investment cooperation. During the meeting in an expanded format, cooperation in energy, agriculture, construction and culture was discussed.

As a result of the meetings, documents were signed, including an agreement between the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Library and Archives of the United Arab Emirates. Agreement on the development of international relations on archives. Agreement to expand and strengthen cooperation for the preservation of documentary heritage in both countries. Today, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has agreements with archival and scientific institutions of 9 countries: Belarus, Germany, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Poland, Russian Federation, USA and Finland.
