The work of the VII Summer School of Young Archivists continued in the Central State Archive of Film-Photo Documents and Sound Recordings of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants took part in a master class dedicated to current issues of replenishing archives with audiovisual documents. The head of the department of acquisition and departmental archives of the CSA of FPD&SR, Shara Yesengazieva, told the participants of the summer school about details of the matter, while the specialist of the department of acquisition and departmental archives, Aigul Aitmukaeva, spoke about the systematization of photographic documents by type.

Ermek Dzhasybaev, chief expert of the acquisition and departmental archives department of the CSA of FPD&SR of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a report on the topic “Photodocument as a historical record.” In addition, a special tour through the premises of Central State Archive of Film, Photo Documents and Sound Recordings was organized for the guests. During the tour, staff of the Archive shared their experiences with colleagues and answered many questions.
