Volleyball tournament among archivists

On April 27, 2024, a volleyball competition for the Cup of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place between employees of state archives and future archival specialists. This year’s event, which has already become traditional, was organized as part of the 30th anniversary of the Presidential Archive and the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The tournament was attended by employees of the State archive of the Almaty region, the Central state archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State archive of the city of Almaty, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Sh. Ualikhanov, as well as students of the Faculty of History of al-Farabi KazNU.

The first place in the competition was taken by the “Wakanda” team of the State archive of Almaty, the “Ortalyk Archive” team of the Central state archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan took 2nd place, and the “White Tower” team of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took 3rd place. The team “Archive Tarlandary” of the State archive of the Almaty region was especially noted for showing an excellent play.
