The first archival hackathon "Archive Hack: Smart Archive", organized on the initiative of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Satbayev University and Yandex Qazaqstan, brought together 165 participants. The developments of the hackathon participants formed a complete mosaic, which archival specialists will have to comprehend for use in practical work. The organizers express their gratitude to all participants for supporting this important creative project for archives. Another important aspect of the event was teamwork, which unites and brings people together. Acquaintance through solving complex problems, brainstorming, debates and discussions - all these business processes, embodied in the archival hackathon, contributed to the search for new ideas and the development of unique team projects. The jury, consisting of professional archivists and representatives of the IT business, noted the following teams in the nominations: "Young Archivists Initiative" - ​​Best school project - 1st place, the "Time Keepers" team of School No. 41 named after A. Pushkin, Taraz; 2nd place, the "Stars" team of School Gymnasium No. 113, Almaty; 3rd place, the "Gandhi" team of Professional Lyceum No. 92 named after Mahatma Gandhi, Almaty;

All hackathon participants were awarded special diplomas. The winners of the hackathon received cash prizes from Yandex Qazaqstan, the total prize fund was 3,000,000 tenge.
