Galia Abdulkadyrovna Karpykova was awarded the Order of “Kurmet”
On December 10, 2024, a ceremonial event was held at the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event, the award was presented to the first director of the Archive of the President, Galiya Karpikova, who was honored with the "Kurmet" Order by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 16, 2024. The Director of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aliya Mustafina, congratulated Galiya Abdulkadyrkyzy on receiving the prestigious award and highlighted her tremendous contribution to preserving documents on the socio-political history of the country and the formation and development of Independent Kazakhstan.
It was emphasized that this award is a testament to her outstanding efforts in preserving the nation's history and passing it on to future generations. G. Karpikova is a prominent figure who has dedicated more than forty years of her life to the archival field. Her name is closely linked to the history of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Archive of the President began its work on January 14, 1994, based on the "Central State Archive of New History." Thanks to Galiya Abdulkadyrkyzy's tireless work and organizational skills, the archive's activities were successfully established. This year, the institution is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Participants of the event shared warm memories about the history of the archive's establishment and its achievements over different periods.
