Council of young archivists

On February 20, 2015, in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a general meeting of the employees of the Archive was held, at which topical issues of the development of the archival industry in Kazakhstan, research and publishing work of archivists, issues of improving their qualifications, attracting young specialists to the industry were discussed. At the meeting, an initiative was put forward to create a public collegial body - the Council of young archivists of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to activate archival youth, develop creative initiatives, help resolve issues of professional growth and popularize the profession.
G. Bekisheva was elected Chairman of the Council of young archivists, chief expert of the Department for ensuring the preservation and state registration of archival funds, M. Zhylgeldinov, chief expert of the Department for scientific publication of documents, was elected as Deputy Chairman, G. Duissenova, an expert of the Department for ensuring the preservation and state registration of archival funds was elected secretary.
The Council of young archivists of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter CYA AP RK) is a public body that represents the interests of young employees and archivists working in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. CYA is created with the aim of uniting, expressing their interests in the professional field of activity.
The main goals and objectives of the CYA are to promote the professional growth of young archivists, to organize and conduct "summer schools"; methodological and scientific-practical seminars; assistance in participation in republican and international conferences, seminars and round tables; establishing contacts with Kazakhstani and foreign colleagues in order to conduct joint events, exchange experience, implement various projects in the field of archiving. CYA assists in organizing the work of the website of the AP RK, replenishing it with information, assists in organizing and holding cultural events with the participation of young scientists and archivists.
The activity of the CYA is based on the principles of voluntariness, collegiality and equality of its members. The CYA includes young specialists of the Archive and other interested persons who participate in its work on a voluntary basis. The Regulations on the Council of young archivists, approved by the Director of the Archive B.Japarov on March 4, 2015.
