On April 5, 2024, in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees discussed methods for modernizing the work of archival services based on the Concept for the Development of the Archive until 2035. Service for the Preservation, accounting and digitization of archival funds, Archive Fund Formation Service, as well as the Center for the Study of Materials of Political Repression of the XX Century presented to their colleagues reviews on problematic aspects of their work, after which these issues were put forward for public discussion in the format of the “SCAMPER” methodology. Divided into four working groups from representatives of various departments, the archive staff proposed ways to solve difficult issues, with the ultimate goal of more effectively achieving the Archive's target indicators. The most critical issues during the discussion were modernizing archival processes through the use of new technologies, for example artificial intelligence, creation of a mobile application associated with electronic archive catalog systems, increasing the efficiency of the formation of archival funds, by changing methods of interaction with departmental archives.
