K. I. Satpaev was born on April 12, 1899, and became a person who made a great contribution to the study and geological exploration of the mineral resources of our country, implemented the results of his scientific research into production, participated in the construction of industry giants throughout the Republic. For ten years, he was in the vanguard of creators of metallurgical science in the USSR. At that time, nine out of ten ore deposits that were discovered in Central Kazakhstan were found according to the map presented by K. I. Satpaev. Meaning 331 deposit from 358 deposits discovered were from that map. Today, the personal fund of K.I. Satpaev is kept in the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Biographical documents, letters, work documents, reports, scientific works, articles, photographs and memorabilia of the scientist are stored here. Academician passed away in 1964. His documents were transferred for storage to the Presidential Archives on August 22, 2014.
